Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience in Data Center Operations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience with risk quantification and relevant data analytic tools such as dashboards, pipelines, etc.

  • Experience in public sector industry and cloud solutions, including networking, infrastructure, and security.

  • Experience in a government environment managing cloud solutions.

  • Ability to have strategic thinking and handle complex problems across multiple stakeholders.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will help us shape the strategy and direction of security risk management as a practice, with a focus on establishing a data-informed risk identification and continuous monitoring process. You will partner with teams across Google's data centers, source and model the necessary incident, issue, measurement, and assessment data in order to define and implement a continuous measurement capability to ensure adherence to our data security policies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Plan short and long-term requirements with internal customers and partners at different levels, while collaborating with software development, hardware design, planning, supply chain, logistics, other security teams, data center operations managers, and data center technicians to lead programs and projects through their entire lifecycle.

  • Evolve and mature the risk and controls monitoring program to ensure data security controls are operating effectively and our team, leadership, compliance partners are informed in a low-toil way.

  • Partner with data engineers to identify, source, model, and analyze necessary risk identification process inputs (e.g., issues, incidents, assessments, measurements).

  • Manage program risks, issues, and track them to meet expected outcomes and timelines, building mitigation plans as the program evolves.

  • Evaluate and supervise multiple projects concurrently. Coordinate and utilize resources for multiple projects within the overall portfolio.
