Chart Industries Customer support engineer in Rheden, Netherlands

The Big Picture:

Howden Reciprocating and Centrifugal compressors (HCR), is a specialist supplier of tailor-made gas compression equipment to various industries. Our products have made a valuable difference for our clients for the past 100 years, and we are now looking for a Customer Support Engineer who will join our team and assist us in making a valuable difference in the century to come.The Customer Support Engineer is a ‘’spider in the web’’, an interface between the customer and Howden. He or she is able to translate the customers need into a quote and will be an important member of the Aftermarket Team.

What needs to be done?

  • Manage the order handling process of the service- or spare parts order in the aftermarket organization.

  • Optimize customer relation by acting as a point of contact for our customers during the service- and spare parts, sales- and order process.

  • Analyse customer data, market data and data around our competition and provide feedback to the team and internal organization around the gathered information.

  • Responsible for the order analysis and order confirmation to the customer.

  • Decide and negotiate on the delivery- and payment conditions in consultation with other departments.

  • Provide service to our customers around technical- and/or commercial questions in close cooperation with other departments in our organization.

  • Coordination and support of the field service team on site

What do you need to bring?

  • Bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.

  • Knowledge to understand customer needs and translate to internals requests.

  • Experience in oil and gas industry is preferred.

  • Working experience in a similar job for at least 3 years.

  • Good communications skills.

  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.

  • A ‘’getting the job done’’ mentality.

  • Interest in realizing process improvement.

  • Willingness to travel to visit customers (10% of the time).
