Summary of Position: Oversee and coordinate the activities of the workers engaged in operating a variety of wood working machines. Performs and assumes responsibility of all needed computer transactions, daily planning and operating functions used in the manufacturing processes of the moulder room and all inclusive areas. Oversees personnel, safety, equipment, material utilization, process flow, quality control and order completion. Responsibilities and Duties: Analyze work orders to determine and develop production schedules. Computes amount of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules and requisitions materials from storage area. Inspects and measures raw material, and wood products to verify conformance to company standards. Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards. Interprets company policy to workers and enforces safety regulations. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Communicates and maintains effective relationships with management and co-workers. Other duties may be assigned.
