MEET THE TEAM
You will work with the Americas Networking Organization as a Solutions Engineer. You will form relationships with our customer’s key decision- makers, showcase Cisco Networking products and solutions with a focus on Secure networking including Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Automation, lead RFP response(s), set up demonstrations, drive proof of values, explain features and benefits to customers, and design and configure products to meet specific customer requirements.
YOUR IMPACT
Stay updated on networking trends and competitive solutions. You'll need strong teamwork and consultative skills to work with various technologies. Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with Account Executives to drive business growth.
Generate demand and enable technology capabilities with internal and external teams.
Map technical solutions to customer needs and design networks.
Demonstrate deep product knowledge and differentiate solutions.
Conduct product demos and PoC labs.
Maintain competitive knowledge and anticipate market trends.
Align with cross-functional teams for digital transformation opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of proven experience sizing and designing Routing, Wireless and Switching deployments both On-Prem and Cloud Based.
Extensive skills and knowledge in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, LISP) network segmentation technologies (VRF, MPLS, ZeroTrust, SDA, 802.1x, Adaptive Policy), and network management.
Pre-Sales Experience
CCIE or equivalent experience and certifications.
Basic understanding of programmability.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Cisco and non-Cisco Certifications a plus (CCIE, CCDE, CCNP, DevNet, AWS, Google, Terraform)
Background in sales engineering or equivalent roles.
Typically requires BS/BA or equivalent experience (preferably EE/CS) or equivalent
Understanding of competitive networking products such as HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet
API and programmability knowledge is a plus
Willingness to travel to customer and partner sites as needed 35% of the time approximately. We offer a flexible work from home or office (where Cisco offices are available) option.
