We create leading-edge technology solutions to prevent security threats, secure the integrity of our systems and support IT infrastructures around the world.Sr. Linux System Administrators, internally known as Principal Analyst, infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Administering Red Hat Linux based systems with minimal support, to include patching, creating RPM packages, performance tuning, networking, user management (LDAP), and security
Hardware and software troubleshooting
Scripting Experince in Bash and Python
Using and developing with automation tools/frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
Installing, administering and troubleshooting recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter)
Must be able to support occasional after hour maintenance and on-call support
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10% travel.
Full time 100% Onsite position
Must be able to lift 35 pounds for hardware installs.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret SCI security clearance with CI polygraph s ecurity clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Must have Linux experience.
Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience administering Windows based systems
Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services such as DNS, sendmail, and LDAP
Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency
Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
