Wireless Product Engineer

  • Expertise in O-RAN fronthaul and functional splits

  • In-depth knowledge on mobile networks, especially on 3GPP LTE 4G and 5G standards in RAN and the interface between Radio Unit (RU), Distributed Unit (DU), and other O-RAN components

  • Provide and support customer lab for SW/ HW New Feature verification and validation

  • Train internal company members/teams (e.g. Knowledge Delivery, Sales Engineers, etc.) on wireless products/solutions

  • Create and validate wireless product/solution test plans/test cases

  • Coordinate lab evaluations by identifying parts and test equipment needs for trials, installation/turn-up of product/solution in the Fujitsu or customer lab environment, and perform tests ensuring successful operation of the product/solution

  • Review and provide input to system and product documentation

  • Be able to provide tier-three technical support on the product solutions

  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems

  • Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve customer issues for Wireless product solutions

  • Coordinates with other Fujitsu departments, as needed, to solve customer problems

  • Analyze system logs, KPIs, Stats, performance issues, etc. for mission critical wireless systems.

  • Perform system analysis on a wide range of network technologies including, LTE, LTE-Advanced, 3GPP NR, O-RAN etc

  • Work independently and skilled at knowing when to utilize additional resources and/or escalate

  • Communicates with customers about problems ensuring feedback is comprehensive

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study

  • 5 plus years related telecom wireless experience

  • Expertise in O-RAN fronthaul and functional splits

  • Experience in Service provider network design and implementation

Direct hands-on product experience and knowledge working with Service Providers and Engineering for Small Cell, LTE and 5G NR solutions
