Skilled Machine Operator Needed in Richburg
Job Description
Candidates will be operating unique equipment specific to the company. The equipment is unique, so the company does not expect candidates to have the direct skillset. They will be trained in-depth on the machinery and cross-trained for all lines. The bulk of the job requires measuring large pieces of stainless steel bar and either cutting them to specific lengths or grinding the outside diameter of the bar to the specific width.
Responsibilities
Operate unique machinery specific to the company.
Measure and cut large pieces of stainless steel bar to specific lengths.
Grind the outside diameter of the bar to the specific width.
Observe operators and learn the processes during the first 2-3 weeks.
Band steel, tag the lines, and operate an overhead crane.
Input bars into the ERP system.
Cross-train for all lines.

Work Environment
The work environment is non-climate controlled, dirty, and loud, typical of a metal manufacturing environment. The company provides personal protective equipment (PPE) for temporary workers, including earplugs, safety vests, cut-resistant gloves, and hard hats. It is a smaller facility with about 11 employees on each shift, fostering a close-knit team environment. No heavy lifting is required, as machinery handles most of the bar movement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richburg, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
