Amentum Deputy Quality Manager WTCC in Richland, Washington
The WTCC Deputy Quality Assurance Manager (DQAM), reports directly to the WTCC Manager of Quality (MOQ) aka WTP Site Quality Manager. The WTCC DQAM is responsible for implementation and compliance with the WTP Quality Management System (QMS) including its Quality Assurance Programs (QAPs). This position requires extensive customer interaction and engagement, as well as frequent interaction with federal and state regulatory authorities, federal oversight functions, other major project stakeholders, as well as all levels of project and functional management. This position is accountable for execution of a comprehensive, regulatory compliant quality assessment program with responsibility for independent assessment of project and execution of quality assurance program activities required for mission delivery.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
Ensuring implementation of the WTP QA Program within WTCC’s scope of work.
Development of the annual WTCC Audit and Assessment schedule for review and approval.
WTCC independent Audits and Assessments Supervisor will report
Perform formal and on the job training and coaching for Quality personnel related to quality programs, audit techniques, communications (verbal and written), interview techniques, leadership, and teaming as needed.
Maintain sufficient trained and qualified quality staff to implement QA Program activities. Manage and supervise assigned staff, ensuring timely and compliant support of WTCC activities.
Assessing implementation, performance, and compliance of the QA Program; identifying and reporting quality assurance program deficiencies to line management and the WTCC MOQ. Assist in the development of WTP quality program documents (e.g., QA Plan) necessary for WTCC activities.
Coordinate and support the WTP Manager of Quality to revise the WTP QA Management System (QMS) as necessary to support WTCC activities. Effective flow down of new quality assurance requirements assigned to WTCC through procedure development or revision and implementation.
Identifying and implementing actions to promote improvement and correct deficiencies in the implementation of the WTP QMS within the WTCC organizations. Provide leadership and input for the WTP People Based Quality program.
Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the activities of an Audits and Assessments Organization, including overseeing the activities of the Audits and Assessments Supervisor and staff.
REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or scientific discipline or quality assurance from an accredited university or college with 15 years of progressive experience in a field of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, or quality assurance.
In lieu of a formal degree, specialized courses, or certifications (ASME/ANSI, ASQ) in engineering, quality or a specialized discipline and a minimum of 21 years of experience in a field of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, or quality assurance.
Preferred Experience:
Department of Energy, NRC, Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program or other related industrial technical experience in operating environments desired.
Current or Previous NQA-1 Auditor and/or Lead Auditor.

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.
This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site .
Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $146,128.82 - $238,179.18 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
