Your Role

This role comprises all semi-skilled warehouse tasks required to receive, store, pick and ship customer orders. The role is differentiated with General Labour by its requirement for additional material handling equipment, process, or technical skills. The schedule for this role will be Monday to Friday 12pm to 9pm. You will report to the Air Logistics Warehouse Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• The schedule for this role will be Monday to Friday 12pm to 9pm.

• Follow standard warehouse practices and work instructions required to maintain high levels of inventory and location accuracy;

• Documents and identifies all discrepancies to the Team Lead;

• Accurately complete routine documentation, such as check-in sheets for export/import, manifests, MHE inspections and other documents pertaining to warehouse operations;

• Perform a variety of physically demanding general labor duties according to standard work instructions, such as manually loading and unloading goods from a trailer, manually loading xray machine with unsecure cargo;

• Demonstrates accuracy and efficiency in the execution of standard warehousing processes such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, checking and loading customer orders and products;

• Participates in process-specific training and adheres to all work instructions and guidelines established by KN to comply with regulatory standards such as ISO and KN Freshchain;

• Comply with GMP requirements as applicable to ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Transport Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met.

• Demonstrates and maintains a skill set capable of operating a variety of equipment used in a traditional warehouse environment. Examples include but are not limited to: scanners, computers, scales, pallet jacks and a variety of motorized material handling

• Demonstrates and maintains professional interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external personnel.

• Follows all company safety, security and housekeeping protocols. Respects customer and company property and equipment.

• Proactive in accident & incident prevention and fills out these reports promptly and accurately when required.

• Strives to increase personal knowledge and shares work knowledge with less experienced staff.

• Employee maintains an acceptable availability for work record. (Absenteeism and lates)

• Demonstrates initiative and responsibility in all tasks in support of department and business goals.

• Supports, and personally contributes to, the company’s continuous improvement philosophy.

• Responds positively towards changing business parameters. Supports peers and the leadership team.

• Availability to work periodic overtime and a variety of shifts in order to meet the requirements of the operation,

• Other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Experiences

• 1+ years warehouse (Shipping/Receiving) and forklift experience is necessary for this role

• Ability to perform heavy lifting with no accomodations (50lbs)

• Ability to work late nights/weekends

• Capable of heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
