The Opportunity

This position works out of our Richmond, IN location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You'll Work On

  • Provide documentation to Operations for utilization in manufacturing of Commercial Production, Plant Trials/Engineering Studies, and other activities as needed

  • Conduct batch record reviews and prepare documentation for release of finished product

  • Conduct Quality Review of Batch Records/Work Orders in preparation for release of finished product for commercial distribution

  • Utilize multiple MIS to perform job functions (AMAPS, ABTRAQ, Lotus Notes, Team Center, etc.)

  • Assure compliance to Federal Regulations pertaining to Low Acid Canned Foods, Acidified Foods, and Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Prepare batch records for Operations to utilize in commercial production

  • Coordinate and/or resolve documentation discrepancies with the various departments

  • Administer document change control of Work Orders, Plant Procedures, and other Quality Assurance controlled documents

  • Assure that quality documents are properly distributed and controlled internally

  • Ensure that all necessary documents, critical factors, and raw materials are in place prior to production

  • Conduct monthly/quarterly environmental monitoring swabbing

  • Initiate and evaluate corrective actions

  • Incoming material review and approval

  • Monitor sanitation program

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes associated with food manufacturing or injection molding

  • Quality Assurance related experience (ex. Technician, Batch Log Auditor, or related position)

  • High levelMicrosoft Officecapability

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects

  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in a relevant technical field

The base pay for this position is $48,000.00 – $96,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
