Aston Carter Accounting Manager in Richmond, Virginia

This position reports to the Director of Statutory Accounting and Corporate and is responsible for managing and coordinating all tax filings in the US and Canada, as well as overseeing the daily management of accounting and supporting functions of affiliated entities in North America. The role also entails overseeing an Accounting Analyst and working closely with senior management to enhance department operations.

Skills

  • 5 years of accounting/tax experience

  • 3-5 years of management experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance (preferred)

  • Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS

  • Knowledge of GAAP and its international versions

  • Experience with SAP software

  • Ability to remain current on tax law and its implications

  • Strong technical analysis skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate and ensure timely tax filings and payments

  • Capability to evaluate and improve department operations

  • Strong leadership and management skills

Work Environment

The role includes a hybrid work setup with Mondays and Fridays remote, and in-office work from Tuesday to Thursday.
