Battery Storage Construction Manager-Virginia

Job Summary:

The Battery Storage Construction Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of battery storage construction projects. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of battery storage facilities. The Construction Manager collaborates with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality standards are met and projects are delivered safely and in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement project plans for battery storage construction projects.

  2. Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

  3. Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and controlling costs to meet financial goals.

  4. Schedule and coordinate construction activities, including procurement of materials and equipment, subcontractor management, and site logistics.

  5. Monitor construction progress and identify potential risks or delays, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

  6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the construction process.

  7. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, identify issues, and address construction challenges.

  8. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

  9. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and compliance records.

  10. Lead project meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and make decisions to keep projects on track.

    Requirements:

  11. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

  12. Proven experience in construction management, particularly in energy storage or renewable energy projects.

  13. Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.

  14. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to battery storage projects.

  15. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.

  16. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  17. Knowledge of safety standards and protocols for construction sites.

  18. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

  19. Ability to travel to project sites as needed and work in various weather conditions.

  20. Certification in project management or construction management (e.g., PMP, CMIT) is a plus.
