Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP Information Governance Analyst in Richmond, Virginia

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting for an Information Governance Analyst. This role independently manages the collection, analysis, and reporting of information in support of various Information Security, Governance and Compliance functions, services, and systems. Ensures third-party risk assessments and reviewed and evaluated effectively. Assists with responding to client security assessments as needed. Performs critical monitoring functions to mitigate risk and protect the Firms information assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Performs daily, weekly and monthly audit and monitoring activities, including but not limited to endpoint configuration audits, network account audits, entitlement reviews, ethical wall reviews, etc. 2. Maintains the firms detailed data inventory for on-premise and third-party data repositories. 3. Reviews third-party risk assessment results and follows-up on findings. 4. Works closely with the Third-Party Risk Management Team to ensure appropriate data protection agreements are in place with vendors. 5. Manages the departed user review and cleanup process. Reviews and cleans-up personal user repositories after a departure. 6. Assists with firm-wide data review and clean-up initiatives. 7. Works closely with the Records team to ensure electronic data is destroyed per the client retention policy.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of job related experience required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Travel may be required. Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results. Creative and innovative. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Sound judgment and flexibility. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory.
