About the Opportunity
The National IT department has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager IT, Technology, reporting to Assistant Vice President on a hybrid work environment
The Data Center Hardware Team is responsible for maintaining and operating legacy Data Centers across 12 Districts, and constructing East, West, and Central cloud centric locations. Additionally, the team oversees the system warehouse, which serves as a central repository for the Federal Reserve System for all shipping, receiving, and storage needs. This role will also require an in-depth understanding of data center security processes and risk management, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal and external vendors on behalf of the Federal Reserve System.
What You Will Do:
This is a leadership role with participation in the development of multi – year strategic goals and objectives
Provides oversight cross team direction and leadership to broad scope single or multi – functional teams
Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, storage systems/warehouse with the ability to visualize and articulate with strong presentation skills
Provides oversight of the controls, risks and day to day data center in adherence to accepted industry standards and regulations
Ensures adherence to department functional budget and efficient use of resources
Proactively identifies operational efficiencies seeks improvements to hardware process by evaluating refining process and procedures and provides recommendations
Skilled in vendor negotiations to drive efficiencies for the function
Oversee monthly operating report that informs how the data center is performing
Exceptional communication skills to be able to present and articulate at individual audience and executive audience.
Regularly interacts with all levels of officers and mangers to provide expertise to address resolve highly complex oversight process/issues
Builds/visualizes six sigma and lean project mgmt. and problem solving and critical thinking skills to continue to evolve and keep the teams/systems current
Drives standard through industry research and collaboration with peer industry leaders
Knowledge on colocation/cloud transformations and ability to make recommendation and communicate plans on investment and solutions
Leader with an appetite to bring innovation and challenge the status quo
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
At-least 6 years of people leadership experience
At-least 6 years of building data center or network information technology experience
Demonstrable experience managing operational teams
Prior experience providing architectural oversight
ITIL Certification is preferred
Six Sigma Certification is preferred

The national hiring range for the Senior Manager IT, Technology role is $140,400-$193,050 annually . For candidates in certain markets (Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; New York City Metro Area, Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA), the listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
