Position Overview

We are seeking a consumer- and culture-obsessed, organizationally-savvy and strategic-thinking Senior Manager of Partnership Marketing for the Home Entertainment (HE) Integrated Marketing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic partnership marketing plans for the Home Entertainment (HE) division, which is comprised of the TV, Home Audio, and Memory businesses. The role is responsible for all aspects of partnership marketing, from strategic planning, partner identification & evaluation, partner negotiation, and the development & execution of joint marketing initiatives.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the consumer electronics industry. The ideal candidate will also have their finger on the pulse of culture, identifying partnership opportunities that aren't always obvious, but work to achieve the marketing objectives of the brand.

The individual in this position will work closely with other key members of Home Entertainment Integrated Marketing and Product Management to bring the initiatives to life.

Effective communication, active listening, and negotiation skills are essential for successfully negotiating deals, resolving conflicts, and fostering collaboration among teams.

  • Data Analysis: Measuring the effectiveness of partnership marketing campaigns and making informed decisions based on data analysis is critical for success in this role. The Senior Manager of Partnership Marketing must be proficient in using analytical tools and interpreting metrics to optimize marketing strategies and demonstrate ROI.

  • Project Management: The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines is crucial for success in this role. The Senior Manager of Partnership Marketing must have excellent organizational skills and be adept at prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute an insights-based partnership marketing strategy that will help deliver against brand, in-market, and financial objectives of the HE Division

  • Work with the Insights team to generate learnings on how to develop breakthrough marketing partnerships that resonate with our target consumers

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Integrated Marketing (Consumer, Digital, Shopper, Experience), Account Marketing, and Corporate Marketing stakeholders to identify needs/gaps that can be addressed through strategic marketing partnerships

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation in partnership marketing efforts

  • Evaluate global partnerships under development to assess if/how to leverage global partnerships in local marketing

  • Partnership Development

  • Identify and nurture relationships with key target partners that fulfill the strategic objectives of the HE lines of business.

  • Develop partnership frameworks for target partners to maximize the marketing value of the partnerships at minimal cost

  • Create partnership pitches

  • Negotiate and secure partnerships

  • Marketing Initiative Development and Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of breakthrough partner marketing initiatives that will cut through the clutter, drive earned visibility, increase customer engagement, and ultimately drive sales

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Integrated Marketing, Product Management, and Corporate Marketing to ensure seamless integration of partnership initiatives across all of the relevant consumer and shopper touchpoints

  • Liaise with the partnership marketing teams across the various lines of business (Mobile, Appliance, etc.) and divisions (Samsung TV Plus, Services) to uncover opportunities to work together or lean on the influence of the broader Samsung organization to win more value from marketing partners

  • Program Management and Measurement

  • Manage and maintain existing partnerships, ensuring they remain aligned with business goals and deliver measurable results

  • Maintain ongoing partnership activity with studio, brand, and marketing partners to secure a constant stream of current video, static, and audio assets to be leveraged in advertising and marketing

  • Prepare comprehensive performance reports and analyze data to inform future partnership decisions and optimize marketing strategies.

  • Manage budget allocation for partnership marketing activities and ensure cost-effective execution of campaigns.

  • Oversee assigned budget and manage internal procurement and financial processes to ensure project approvals and financial compliance

  • Ensure that all financial, budgeting, forecasting, legal and compliance processes are being adhered

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in partnership marketing, sponsorship, or business development, preferably in the consumer electronics or home entertainment industries

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful partnership marketing campaigns.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; proven ability to lead initiatives across teams

  • High-level of confidence, integrity and enthusiasm that fits a fast-paced, energetic and proactive organization

  • Work independently and actively in a team environment in order to achieve business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications

  • Up to 10% travel required
