Robert Half Plant Controller in Ridgeway, Virginia
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller to join our team in Ridgeway, Virginia. This critical role involves overseeing the financial operations within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting functions, budget processes, and capital management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage accounting functions, including accounts receivable, credit collections, accounts payable, and vendor management.
• Implement effective cash management strategies and monitor fixed assets.
• Handle insurance and audit management.
• Maintain relationships with banking institutions and manage credit lines.
• Oversee inventory control and implement strategies for expense control and freight tracking.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including R& D tax credit, grants, local incentives, and property tax filings.
• Support customer service initiatives within the financial scope.
• Manage budgeting processes, balance sheet management, and forecasting activities.
• Handle month-end close processes, prepare P& L statements, and conduct results analysis.
• Oversee costing management and conduct margin analysis.
• Provide process support and hands-on involvement in financial operations.
• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems, specifically SAP/QlikSense dashboard and Microsoft Office Suite for efficient data management and reporting. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Plant Controller role or similar position
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential
• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
• Familiarity with Budget Processes and Budgeting - Forecasting is required
• Proficiency in Capital Management
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment is necessary
• CPA Designation is required
• Experience in managing Fixed Assets is a must
