Job Description
Leads, guides, and coordinates staff, students, and support staff in the performance of duties. Provides social work services to patients and/or their families throughout the continuum of care. Performs all functions of Social Worker.
Job Responsibility
Assists in the formulation and development of departmental and interdepartmental programs, policies and procedures.
Contributes to the assessment of social health needs in the facility and community; participates in the development of effective health and welfare services/resources.
Collaborates with other staff members to identify unmet psychosocial needs of patients.
Participates in appropriate research, staff development programs, and community liaison activities.
Contributes to educational activities including presentation, training of graduate students, attending/championing workshops and seminars.
May participate in hospital committees to discuss social work practice and procedures.

Ability to collaborate and work in a multispecialty practice environment.
Job Qualification
Master of Social Work required.
Current License to practice as a Clinical Social Worker in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
3-5 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $70,470-$116,870/year
