The Electrical Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development of components, small systems, quality systems, processes or materials.

This role in summary

This Engineering Manager role will supervise a team of four system integrators in Electrical and Electronic systems located in Brazil. A system integrator in Electrical and Electronic Systems is a professional who specializes in integrating electrical and electronic components and systems specifically for home appliances. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing the electrical and electronic systems that power and control various home appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, cooking appliances and more. This managerial position will be primarily responsible for cooking products for the Latin America Region market.

Your responsibilities will include

Integrate electronics solutions for new cooking products

System-level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision-making for electronics projects

Lead technical design reviews for electronics projects

Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality, and performance targets

Drive system validation during the concept, design, and product validation stages

Drive electronics requirements and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)

Support the electronics architect team to define/identify system architecture: electrical, mechanical and integration analysis

Be able to design electrical functional circuits

Determine the product's electrical/electronic interface system, manage configuration files, and configure systems according to the product specifications

Responsible for System - subsystem level design requirements, product descriptions, and failure mode and effects analysis

Define and manage interfaces for all sub-systems in compliance with the system solution

Work with engineers to generate and execute technical design reviews

Support definition of system validation plans, execute system validation testing and work with Verification & Validation Engineers to ensure traceability to verification

Lead technical design reviews

Take ownership of tech concepts, solutions, risks/mitigation plans, and support the organization in creating proposal cost estimates

Direct management of of a team of engineers

Provide timely and objective communications up, across, and down the organization

Evaluate the impact and risk of decisions made

Resolves conflicts and issues

Minimum requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering discipline

Solid experience in product systems engineering and team leadership

Electronics Knowledge: Hardware, Software, components, wiring

Solid experience with product systems engineering, system integration, design, and manufacturing

Proactiveness, good presentation & communication skills, and hands-on

Good problem solver and knowledge about FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

Experience in managing local and remote teams

Preferred skills and experiences

Master’s Degree In Electrical Engineering

Proficiency in electronics: Hardware, Software, components, sensors, and wiring harnesses

Experience with project management and execution: schedule, resources management, cost management, quality management, and technical integration events

Proficient in requirements management

Proficient in FMEA / Failure Mode and Effects Analysis

Proficient in system verification and validation processes and tools

Experience working with cross-functional teams

Experience with problem-solving processes and tools

Experience leading a technical team

Experience with project risk management process
