The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
This role in summary
Whirlpool is looking for qualified candidates for the role of Sr. Analyst, Engineering. This role will be located at our Cooking Tech Center, in Rio Claro, SP.
In this position you will work with the Cooking Latin America Product Delivery Team on cooking appliances from Concept through Production Validation. This role will be responsible for being the product cost owner, managing all cost opportunities, targets, and processes related to it, as well as helping to drive all initiatives as committed. Other responsibilities include managing system integration for specific assigned projects, ensuring that project activities are completed on time, meeting product and project requirements, including cost, quality and performance targets. This position is accountable for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making within the project.
Your responsibilities will include
Product Cost Owner, managing pipeline, reports, and being the first step in the help chain;
Managing all cost-related KPIs;
Coordinating the project leaders on delivering cost reduction initiatives;
For specific assigned projects, acting as System Integrator for Cooking products during concept, development and execution project phases.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering
Solid experience in Product Development in any area
Solid experience in Project Management
Preferred skills and experiences
Experience with Product Cost Management
Experience in appliances industry, specially cooking
Experience in structures, heat transfer, and thermodynamics
Experience in Electrical/Electronic systems
Experience with system integration skills
Technical coaching abilities
Global team experience
People leadership experience
Desire to grow, learn and take on new and challenging tasks
Analytical skills , experience in solving practical issues, and engaging cross-functional teams of multiple process partners to a consensus
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
