TheEngineering Manageris critical to the success of our missions and responsible for overseeing the engineering department, working alongside cross-departmental functions in order to successfully capture and execute projects. An ideal Engineering Manager is multi-faceted with a diverse background in the engineering field, primarily with experience in sensor integration, knowledge of software and computer languages, experience with customization of commercial-off-the-shelf and government-off-the-shelf (COTS/GOTS) components, elements, and systems/subsystems, as well as project management. Candidate must be willing to assist other team members, and be motivated to assume additional responsibilities in order to work in the dynamic team environment at Senspex.

What you'll get to do as an Engineering Manager at Senspex:

  • Manage the coordination and overall integration activities of engineering and technical projects.
  • Implement and maintain Senspex products and services by either modifying current products/services or completely designing new products.
  • Work with business development/sales and technical teams to assure valuable product designs, and software applications.
  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of in-house development/customization for commercial-off-the-shelf and government-off-the-shelf (COTS/GOTS) components, elements, and systems/subsystems.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system/subsystem.
  • Make recommendations to business development/sales team on innovative engineering approaches and advantages on various types of products within company's scope of product/services.
  • Attend and/or participate in industry seminars, trade shows, and other applicable forums.

The qualifications we require:

  • Bachelors in an engineering/science field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience (4 years).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience working in multifaceted engineering teams and military programs.
  • Strong understanding of software development, electrical, mechanical, computer, and systems integration engineering.
  • Demonstrated systems integration and development skills and familiarity with modern system development methodologies, practices, and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent teaming and communication skills in order to interact with capture management and project realization teams as well as other staff.
  • Demonstrated ability writing technical proposals and/or white papers.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the US
  • National security clearance: This position may require obtaining a U.S. DoD secu ity clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to work on projects/programs
  • Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background/drug test
