Actalent Distribution Engineer LCEC in Riverview, Florida

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer or Designer to join our team in Florida. This role involves supporting power distribution projects, primarily serving individual residential and small commercial landowners. Key responsibilities include designing new power runs to properties, relocating equipment, implementing lighting solutions, converting overhead systems to underground, and relocating overhead lines.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree

  • 1 year of distribution design

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation with a bachelors of Science in engineering and 1 year of power distribution engineering experience

  • Experience in the electric utility industry, with working knowledge of primary and secondary distribution systems, utility standards, ability to use design software packages, and general construction knowledge and aptitude.

  • Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.

  • Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations.

  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

  • Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate frequently with customers.
