Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Riviera Beach, Florida
Description We are inviting applications for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the transport industry based in Riviera Beach, Florida. This role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will play a critical role in managing our accounts receivables and collections. You will be expected to handle cash applications and reconcile A/R to the general ledger while maintaining continuous communication with vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate processing of accounts receivable and collections.
• Application and management of cash activities.
• Regular posting and reconciliation of Accounts Receivable to the General Ledger.
• Regular contact with vendors for account-related inquiries.
• Use of accounting software systems for efficient management of tasks.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suites, especially Microsoft Excel, for data management and reporting.
• Use of Great Plains (GPAC) and IBM AS/400 for various accounting functions.
• Effective handling of billing functions and check processing.
• Ensure all accounting functions are carried out in compliance with the industry's financial regulations. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Experience using IBM AS/400
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge in Billing Functions
• Ability to handle Cash Activity
• Experience in Check Processing
• Strong understanding of transport industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
