THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Consulting Research business is looking for a Senior Manager to join the team! In this role you will oversee and guide a team responsible for planning and implementing research for our organization as well as ensure that the best research methodologies, design, and practices are adhered to.

Project Work

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Direct the research team to be experts in data, reporting, and market insights.

  • Interact with Senior Management on the national and regional level and represent research through the strategic planning process.

  • Set up and enforce due diligence procedures related to the quality and production of quarterly statistics and related reports.

  • Report on the national economy about employment statistics, major company activity, industry trends, and demographics.

  • Attend key client calls with senior sales professionals. Act as a subject matter expert for the company's research platform.

  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

  • Improve and change existing methods, processes and standards within job discipline.

OUR IDEAL PERSON IS SOMEONE WHO:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
