Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Traffic Engineer to join our team.
What You'll Be Doing:
Traffic Flow Analysis: Conduct studies on traffic patterns, volume, and capacity to determine the best solutions for improving road efficiency and safety.
Design of Traffic Control Devices: Develop plans for traffic signals, signage, pavement markings, and other control devices to optimize safety and flow.
Intersection Design: Design and review intersection layouts, channelization, and signal timing to improve traffic movement and minimize delays.
Safety Assessment and Improvement: Analyze crash data and recommend improvements for road safety through design, signage, and other interventions.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with municipalities, agencies, and contractors to ensure project goals align with regional and community needs.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Proficiency in traffic engineering software, such as SYNCHRO, VISSIM, and HCS.
Strong understanding of MUTCD and AASHTO standards and guidelines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in traffic engineering, including roadway design and traffic control plans.
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
Not Applicable/None
This position requires a Fit for Duty exam as part of the job requirements. Successful completion of this exam(s) will be required post offer acceptance, prior to you being able to continue in the hiring process and onboarding.
