Job Title: Extruder Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Machine Operator to join our team in Roanoke, VA, specializing in the cabling and extruding areas. As an operator, you will be responsible for all set up, operation, and inspections of the machinery.
Responsibilities
Set up the extruder machine and feed it with cable and/or plastic pellets.
Consistently lift at least 25 lbs of fibers to load the machine, and push/pull 50 lbs to lift reels onto the machine.
Read and record specifications per customer orders.
Document information by hand as well as on a computer system.
Make necessary adjustments to the machinery.
Perform inspections and use various measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
Essential Skills
Experience in machine operation, setup, and adjustment.
Ability to load, unload, and measure materials.
Proficiency in observing, documenting, and performing quality checks.
Basic computer skills.
High school diploma or GED.
1-3 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment
Fast-paced production environment. Night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25
