Woodlawn is looking for a PRN (as needed) Nuclear Medicine Tech. Apply online!

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Assists in the supervision of and participates in a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, the calculation of results, and the maintenance, review, and application of associated computer programs.
  • Maintains the Nuclear Medicine department according to Local, State, and Federal Laws pertaining to radioactive materials.
  • Prepares and supervises the administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements new procedures, protocols, guidelines, and techniques to improve patient care and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to provide the requested diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered with one of the following:
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (N), preferred
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB), preferred
  • Required Licensure with the State of Indiana.
  • Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of two years experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures in a hospital environment preferred.
