Schedule: Afternoon Shift 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM. Every other weekend and assigned holidays.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification. Responsibilities: Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.| Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the Pharmacy department.| Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds.| Repackages bulk medications.| Receives and stores incoming supplies.| Triages incoming calls and serves as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

• -OR- Associate's degree/Technical degree

• -OR- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Hospital experience preferred.

  CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• One or more of the following required:

• • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Pharmacy Intern credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
