Responsibilities
The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a breast medical oncologist to join our department. The Mayo Clinic is among the leading cancer care providers in the United States and is an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. Mayo Clinic physicians diagnose and treat more than 1,300 new patients with breast cancer each year. The Mayo medical oncology group in Rochester is known for its extensive involvement in the preclinical and clinical development of new breast cancer therapies as well as an extensive program involved in the identification and translation of novel host and tumor biomarkers. These research programs are funded in part through NCI grants including a breast Specialized Program in Research Excellence (SPORE) grant. Breast cancer clinical trials are conducted in collaboration with the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, the Academic and Community Cancer Research United (ACCRU), the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium (TBCRC), and the NCI Experimental Therapeutics Clinical Trials Network (ETCTN).
Qualifications
Board eligible or board certified in Medical Oncology and eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota.
