Responsibilities
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a Gynecologic Oncologist to join our high-volume surgical practice.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology consists of over 50 board-certified physicians providing care to a rich patient mix involving regional, national, and international patients. All OB/GYN subspecialties are represented in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The department also supports 20 residents and 18 fellows through six ACGME/ABOG accredited training programs. Mayo Clinic’s gynecologic oncologists offer an integrated approach to the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers, specializing in the surgical management of complex benign and oncologic disorders. In addition, they partner with experts in medical and radiation oncology. The division includes nine gynecologic oncologists. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) assist with evaluation of new patients, management of post-surgical patients, and independently manage patients seen for postoperative evaluation and cancer survivorship.
Designated as a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute, the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center’s renowned physicians, researchers, and scientists conduct team-based, patient-centered research to develop the latest technologies and treatments to address unmet patient needs. As a result, our patients have access to clinical trials in all phases. Mayo Clinic has been the home of a SPORE in Ovarian Cancer since 2009. This complements active research in other gynecologic cancers. Other resources include 12 da Vinci robots, the availability of intraoperative radiation, excellent anesthesia and critical care support, and world class multidisciplinary collaboration with other surgical specialties to perform complex gynecologic procedures.
Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible in OB/GYN and Gynecologic Oncology with advanced fellowship training in gynecologic oncology. Minnesota Medical Licensure required.

Compensation Detail
The minimum starting salary for Surgical specialties may range from $279,000 to $814,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
