Responsibilities
The Coordinator – Pharmacy Technician Education plans, implements and coordinates a Pharmacy Technician training program. Ensures that pharmacy technician programs meet all quality, legal, regulatory and accreditation standards. Coordinates and develops onboarding and training for technician students; and instructor / preceptor development programs and activities. Supports and participates in activities to improve pharmacy education programs and processes. Assists in the development and coordination of training and competencies for Department of Pharmacy Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Education or health-related field preferred) and a minimum of five years of pharmacy experience with at least two years involvement in pharmacy education activities.
Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in educating various learning styles and developing teaching strategies. Patience and ability to effectively coach and mentor others. Strong commitment and evidence of achieving excellence. Proven history of successfully working in a team environment, communicating effectively and working independently with minimal supervision.Project management and coordination skills. Prior experience in teaching, training, mentoring students/trainees/employees. Computer competency including word processing, spreadsheet preparation, data collection/management/analysis, utilizing of learning management system technology, creation of graphs/charts and presentation slides.
The following are preferred: Experience in developing education and/or training programs.
License or Certification
Current registration with the Board of Pharmacy where required by state regulation.
National Pharmacy Technician certification.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
$70,000 - $105,000 / year
