Job Summary and Qualifications
The Office Coordinator is primarily responsible for adhering to the hospital's policies and guidelines in providing safe and quality patient care services. The Office Coordinator performs all functions under the supervision of the Office Manager II.
Supports the efficient operation of the WMMC Specialty Suite and Rehabilitation Services by answering phones, scheduling and greeting patients and visitors, entering information into the system and medical records to ensure accurate billing, and creating and maintaining medical records and other office files.
What qualifications you will need:
This position requires a level of knowledge, which is acquired through graduation from high school or equivalent. One to three years of office work perferably in a medical setting.
Working knowledge of medical terminology and standard medical office procedure is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel and experience working in an electronic medical record preferred. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively negotiate and resolve issues and as required for effective communication with patients and medical staff.
