SUMMARY

The Account Receivable Analyst, Staff as a member of the Finance Department at Rochester Regional Health will be responsible for the accounting and analysis of Patient Accounts Receivable, Contractual Reserves and Allowance for Doubtful Accounts. The Account Receivable Analyst, Staff provides maintenance, analysis, documentation, and review of Net Patient Accounts Receivable and preparation of the Balance Sheet portion of the financial statement.

LOCATION: Riedman Campus

DEPARTMENT: Finance - Revenue Recognition

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday

ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience preferred (can include experience collecting and analyzing data in healthcare setting). Equivalent combination of education and experienced will be considered
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the analysis of Patient Account Receivable including monthly close reporting.
  • Prepare monthly Patient Accounts Receivable journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Perform AR analysis using the automated Revenue Cycle Analytic Tool.
  • Assist in providing audit support for Patient Account Receivable transactions for interim and year end audit.
  • Prepare Ad hoc reporting and support special projects as required
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills; using systematic methods to perform work
  • Demonstrate analytical, proactive problem solving skills; techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Inquisitiveness, along with the ability to think logically and systematically
  • Manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate; tailor communications to different audiences with varying levels of financial knowledge
  • Ability to leverage good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to complete role requirements
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PAY RANGE: $60,500.00 - $72,500.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
