Amazon Administrative Assistant, Associate Activities Committee Coordinator, & Communication Coordinator in Rochester, New York

Key job responsibilities

-Assist with internal communications for associates and leadership among multiple platforms, interfaces, and programs

-Think and plan ahead, delegate responsibilities appropriately and manage time effectively

-Compile team goals, track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items.

-Serve as representative on department team-building activities and peer recognition

-Develop visual content and design creative communication formats

-Track and report content effectiveness metrics to internal stakeholders, as well as continually monitor, analyze and tune messaging to maximize impact.

-Research and leverage other sites’ communication strategies

-Use research tools to drive insights across multiple departments, including

-Partner with support teams to understand their challenges and provide relevant information to communications growth

-Support the General Manager’s Assistant (GMA) with project management and execution, and perform GMA duties when the GMA is not available

-Coordinate Associate Activities Committee events and meetings to support meaningful engagements

-Identify pertinent opportunities for Associates engagement and develop proactive plans, in partnership with the Associates Activities Committee members.

-Create strategic plans and engagement calendars for site based on, community engagement, Associate Activities Committee, Human Resources/Employee Relations programs and other site events.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

  • High school or equivalent

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

  • Ability to create graphs in MS Office products

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years administrative support experience at an executive level

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $31,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $54,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
