The University of Rochester Medical Center Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is seeking a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Medicine Subspecialist.

The Department of PM&R at the University of Rochester Medical Center located in Rochester, NY is recruiting for a brain injury rehabilitation medicine subspecialist. We are tracking on a rapid faculty and real estate growth initiative consisting of an already approved acute inpatient subspecialty neurorehabilitation unit targeted to open in AY23. This position will provide clinical expertise to our patients with brain injuries within the consult service, acute and subacute inpatient rehabilitation beds, as well as our expanding outpatient brain injury faculty practice. This role carries ample opportunity to pursue academic scholarly activity and research interfacing collaboratively with the Dept. of PM&R Neurorestorative Institute as well as with the Dept. of Neurology/Neurosurgery Del Monte Neuroscience Institute.

Ideal candidates would be BC/BE and fellowship trained in brain injury rehabilitation medicine and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience managing patients with brain injuries and would also have a keen interest in teaching and mentoring fellows, residents and medical students.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $170,416 - $346,177 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
