University of Rochester Center for Perioperative Medicine (Screening - Assistant Nurse Manager, Outpt in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

role, you will support daily operations and oversee nursing staff responsible for remotely conducting telephone screenings of pre-surgical patients, reviewing and collecting medical histories to prepare them for surgery. Acting as a bridge between the staff and the Nurse Manager, you’ll assist in decision-making and step in during the Nurse Manager's absence. You’ll also be involved in staff training, onboarding, performance evaluations, and mentorship. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Nurse Manager and Directors to achieve both unit and hospital goals related to patient care. By working closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers, you will help promote exceptional patient care. Perioperative experience is preferred . Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and clinical competency.

Qualifications

Requires a BSN or matriculation in a BSN program from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 5 years or RN experience. This position is a member of the unit/service leadership team, demonstrates the ability to develop standards of care, unit/service goals, and objectives, and provides consultation and expertise in delivering patient care.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $42.17 - $59.03

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
