The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
Schedule 8:30 AM-5:30 PM Responsibilities Double-block position. LLE seeks self-motivated co-op student Linux systems administrator(s) with a strong interest in cybersecurity and machine learning with an eye towards big data techniques. In this position, the candidate will: - securely deploy the open source ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana / OpenSearch Dashboards, Beats, and Logstash) using dev ops techniques - build tools and configurations to allow authorized users access to specific log data - build tools and configurations to allow security and systems researchers to receive sanitized and anonymized logs in near real-time All majors are welcome, but applicants must be comfortable: - with data extraction, transformation, and loading concepts and practices - using Linux from the command line without GUIs - with basic TCP/IP networking concepts - writing scripts in bash or Python - reading and debugging Java, Python, and JavaScript code - presenting issues to peers and managers - using git, gitlab, and other development and collaborative tools - interacting with vendors and users - working with a team Applicants should be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
