University of Rochester Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - RN, Nurse Navigator in Rochester, New York
Responsibilities
The Nurse Navigator will play a crucial role in guiding patients through the entire continuum of care related to patients who have a Traumatic Brain Injury. We provide high quality expert medical care for complex and complicated disabling injuries and illnesses with our PM&R physicians. The multidisciplinary team includes physicians, nurses, therapists and clinical technicians. We offer rehabilitation through the lifespan- pediatrics through geriatrics and our patients and families have seamless access to our services through dedicated staff at our state-of-the-art facilities. Responsibilities include direct patient care, including participation in procedures such as ultrasound guided injections/botox injections, telephone management, patient triage, and coordination of care. Must possess strong assessment and communication skills, be proactive and independent in decision-making and have good organizational skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor in Nursing required; if currently an Associate's Degree RN, nurse has 5 years to complete the BSN. Three to Five years of Nursing experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required competence in critical thinking, interpersonal relationships and technical skills. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in NYS; certification in a Nursing specialty area preferred.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $36.73 - $47.75 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
