University of Rochester Gender Surgical Hub at URMC - RN, Nurse Navigator in Rochester, New York
Responsibilities
RN to work in a multidisciplinary team to coordinate medical care of patients pursuing gender affirming surgery. The Nurse Navigator’s central role integrates and coordinates access and utilization management, proactive patient management, care facilitation and treatment planning functions. Coordinates medical care of patients pursuing gender affirming surgery. The minimum of 3-5 years of professional nursing experience. Ambulatory care experience in community health, care management, disease management, quality improvement and/or management experience is preferred or; an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, awareness or previous experience working with transgender and gender diverse individuals.
Qualifications
Bachelor in Nursing required; if currently an Associate's Degree RN, nurse has 5 years to complete the BSN. Three to Five years of Nursing experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required competence in critical thinking, interpersonal relationships and technical skills. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in NYS; certification in a Nursing specialty area preferred.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $36.73 - $47.75 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
