University of Rochester GYN Oncology - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

New opportunity to work in collaboration with the GYN Oncology Medical Faculty and APPs in provision of clinical care for patients undergoing treatment for gynecological cancer at University of Rochester. Primary responsibilities including office-based direct patient care including evaluation and management of acute illness and chronic symptom management, follow-up, coordination of services, and family education; the APP will have involvement in clinical trials. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Requires certification (or eligible) for NYS NP/PA certification.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA ( National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $47.12 - $65.97

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
