Job Function:
Welcomes and assists staff, students and visitors to the Human Resources Office
Performs clerical functions and data entry
Provides support of phones, triage of department email boxes, and office mail
Supports staff in recruitment processes by verifying I-9s, scheduling interviews, canvassing, communicating with search chairs and candidates, processing part-time workflows, and managing new hire report notifications
Creates and develops Board of Trustees Agenda including composing resolutions, entering personnel data, coordinating materials, generating Board of Trustees Personnel report, and interacting with Vice Presidents and Executive Secretaries regarding additions and changes
Assists in maintaining Personnel Catalog
Schedules sign language interpreters
Processes updates of HR database
Processes employee and retiree benefits enrollments
Manages and provides staff notifications for benefit terminations; COBRA & aging off coverage
Provides support during the College's Open Enrollment period
Tracks staff hires, retirements and resignation
Is a team member in gathering and preparing information for special employee events and information requests
Supports staff in recruitment processes
Supports and processes employee tuition reimbursement applicants
Acts as a backup with workers' compensation
Supports employee leave processing
Provides support of workers' compensation records for employees, follows up on claims
Interacts with and provides required documentation to other departments.
Works on special projects, including Employee Recognition, and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Must currently hold the title of Personnel Clerk or be reachable on the Civil Service Eligibility list titled Personnel Clerk, or meet the following minimum qualifications:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Successful completion of thirty (30) credit hours from a college or university; OR
(B) One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical experience in personnel or payroll activities; OR,
(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined in (A) or (B) above.
Must be a Monroe County resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be customer service oriented, with a high level of professionalism
Must be team-oriented and willing to assist where needed
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish or other languages proficiently

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 8:45 am-4:45 pm, Monday-Friday
Salary: We offer a competitive annual salary of $38,638.57, with the potential for an increment at 6 months of service. We value your contribution and are committed to your growth.
