Production Supervisor
ProAmpac Rochester
Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000 annually
On-site, Monday - Thursday 5am-3:30pm and/or 7am-5:30pm
FLSA Full Time, Exempt

Back up for Operations Manager
Effectively mentor, coach, and oversee the work of the team to meet safety, operational, and quality needs.
Support and enforce plant and company policies including EHS, HR and job training.
Work with direction from the Operations Manager to follow ISO procedures.
Contributes to the establishment of goals and metrics that align with the organizational strategy and effectively communicates these to the team.
Administer established policies and procedures and provide input for change as needed.
Collaborate effectively with other organizational areas including but not limited to, Quality, Safety, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Maintenance and Product Development departments
Ability to determine needs, solve problems and effectively report on issues
Assist with annual performance evaluations and periodic coaching/counseling as necessary.
Track attendance .
Assist operators in troubleshooting equipment when quality or efficiencies are less than standard.
Facilitate a team environment to achieve daily goals through employee engagement.
Ensure plant floor is always safe, clean and orderly.
Print and submit material pull orders to warehouse; submits maintenance request. Ensure all work centers have job book, materials and tooling required.
Performs timely and accurate MAR transactions, material requests and Job Close Out daily as needed to ensure proper accounting of labor and material
Assist in ensuring inventory and staffing levels meet demand
Provide Training to personnel and document
Ensure proper accounting of labor and material.
Understand the production scheduled metrics ; provides regular updates regarding improvement activities.
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.
Comply with all company policies, and all quality, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures as well as any regulatory or statutory requirements related to the position.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but a combination of equivalent work experience is sufficient
3+ years of related manufacturing process experience, with comprehensive knowledge of the products, principles and concepts
Leadership experience with the ability to also work as a team
Ability to perform moderately complex problem analysis & Mechanical aptitude
Solid working knowledge of production processes and related manufacturing
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook.
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

Work Environment
Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required when in manufacturing areas.
This role operates in a professional office environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is rarely exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing areas.
