Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts. Service technicians work on everything from air conditioning units to chillers, boilers, furnaces, and rooftop units.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.
Utilize knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.
Work on air conditioning units, chillers, boilers, furnaces, and rooftop units.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
Essential Skills
HVAC service experience (Commercial or Residential).
Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Experience with RTU, boilers, chillers, furnaces, and service pneumatics.
Troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Welding skills.
EPA certification.
Experience with refrigeration maintenance and repair.

Work Environment
Work on commercial construction projects around Rochester, including Irondequoit, Greece, and Henrietta. Primarily focused on multi-family unit housing projects, such as new build apartments. All work is commercial/industrial, requiring PPE at all times. Work with a team of about 5-10 depending on the project size and location. Hours are 7am - 3:30pm with overtime offered.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $38.00
