Advanced Practice Provider-Surgical MLPS
Per Diem- Various Shifts
Rockville Centre, NY
Mercy Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, has been providing compassionate, state-of-the-art care to New York residents since 1913. Mercy Medical Center provides a full spectrum of surgical services including but not limited to orthopedics, vascular and urology. The surgery department utilizes Physician Assistants on the surgical service as part of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high quality healthcare.
Responsibilities include:
• Performing comprehensive examinations
• Diagnosing and treats illnesses and injuries
• First and/or second assist in surgical procedures
• Conducting dailyfloor rounds
• Formulating and implementing treatment and therapeutic plans
• Discharge planning and discharging patients
To qualify, candidate must be licensed by the state of New York, NCCPA and ACLS/BLS certified. Minimum of 2 years OR and floor experience preferred. Experience in Orthopedics a definite plus!
