Job Details The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for the daily clinical operations of the Ortho Surg Unit. Our Assistant Nurse Manager will: • Mentor, supervise, and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continual professional growth • Be responsible for the scheduling of the night shift Handle patient relations issues Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered and applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions Coordinate patient care activities, based on established priorities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning, and directs/delegates appropriately to members of the health care team. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, significant others, and members of the health care team about the patient's plan of care Qualifications: BSN required. BLS and ACLS required. Licensed and currently registered or duly authorized to practice as a professional registered nurse in the State of New York. Minimum of one (1) year of demonstrated leadership experience in a patient care setting required. Managerial experience preferred; excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to effectively work with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy; commitment to professional development. Salary Range USD $53.63 - USD $73.65 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
