Job Description
In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program , where you will L earn, E ngage, A pply, and P rogress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.
The Opportunity
BAE Systems is seeking a Summer 2025Business Intelligence Analyst Intern with experience developing data visualization dashboards. Join our Program Management Office and become a member of a diverse, enthusiastic, and highly productive team , where each employee has the opportunity to grow their skills and work on rewarding projects. The focus of this position will be theidentification of a dashboard platform/solution and the development of a dashboard for overall program and contract performance metrics for our support of the US Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP)a program that keeps our nation safe with a credible sea-based nuclear deterrent. The selected candidate will perform the following functions working closely with interdisciplinary teams comprising management and engineers in support of the:
Exploring and evaluating new technologies that meet requirements of the analytics function
Manipulating heterogenous data sets and using programming languages to create custom metrics and analytics for dashboards and data visualization projects to improve decision making
Managing the lifecycle of a workflow from design to execution and maintenance
Using data visualization results to derive recommendations
Creating workflows for end-user using system tools
About the Program
Our organization has supported SSP continually since the program s inception in the 1950s. SSP developed the first sea-based, underwater-launched Strategic Weapon System (SWS), a defense system that is truly critical to our national security. For more than six decades, SSP has maintained and upgraded this weapon system and we have been there every step of the way. The sea-based SWS is the ultimate stealthy weapon system and is the first leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. With over 70% of our nation s nuclear arsenal its importance to maintaining world peace cannot be overstated. The development of the COLUMBIA class, the most advanced nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed submarine ever designed, as well the next D5LE2 weapon system is under way and will begin to be rolled out over the next decade. The US Navy projects that this system will be operational through 2084, meaning the program will have a total life span of more than 120 years. This is a truly unique program and BAE Systems employees on this program understand they are part of an important legacy.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Enrolled student at an accredited 4-year college / university having completed a minimum of two years (Sophomore) towards a Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Science, or other related degree
Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a relevant field of specialization
Understanding of basicdata science and data visualizationprinciples
Experience with scripting programming languages
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, etc.)
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with others
Strong planning, organizational, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated self-starter with organizational, planning, and follow-up skills

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $48620 - $65670
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
