Job/Position DescriptionThe position provides administrative support to Child Protective Services Program Administrator. The position interacts routinely with Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) staff and the general public. and#149; Prepares, reviews and edits reports based on data provided by program tracking and reporting systems.and#149; Handles inquiries and complaint calls, responds to questions, takes messages, and provides referral information to clients or staff.and#149; Performs liaison duties between Program Administrator (PA) and district, regional, state office and administrative staff by coordinating information, scheduling meetings, etc.,and#149; Coordinates the purchases and receipt and distribution of office furniture and supplies.and#149; Processes incoming and outgoing mail for the Program Administrator (PA).and#149; Coordinates and completes special projects and assignments involving various program related activities.and#149; Maintains filing and record keeping systems.and#149; Tracks and coordinates various types of inquiries and administrative actions.and#149; Provides notary public services.and#149; Provides guidance, back-up or training to program clerical staff and serve as an information resource to regional staff.and#149; Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares appropriate vouchers and forms.and#149; Performs other duties as assigned and required to maintain unit operations.and#149; Promotes and demonstrates appropriate respect for cultural diversity among coworkers and all work-related contacts.and#149; Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave policy.
