BREWER SCIENCE INC Director, Business Development in Rolla, Missouri

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Director, Business Development. This position will be located in Rolla, MO or Remote, USA.

Summary: A Director, Business Development oversees the coordination of external activities and requirement gathering for new products and technologies. They have a high level of understanding of advanced lithography. Sets the objectives and timelines for introduction to market and specific customers. The function will be an active member of unit strategy team and responsible for corresponding plans for business development group. Group is responsible for contract development and negotiation, and pricing strategies as appropriate for new products and technologies. Leads Development Engineers to win and close sales on a technical basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Leader in technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Helps create product campaign strategies to meet revenue targets. Develops a strategic planning process and business plans in new, growth market areas, for the company
  • Works directly with Sales, Applications, and RandD to create effective customer messaging
  • Builds, manages, and leverages relationships that are based on trust, respect, and a mutual appreciation of each others value to advance technology beyond what can done alone
  • Assesses opportunities for the potential to create long-term value, determines the paths to win, and understands the trade-offs and risks of each
  • Finds new product development targets and connects customers to new technologies.
  • Oversees the Coordination of external activities related to the introduction of new products and technologies at customers, partners and consortia
  • Responsible for carrying out the goals set by top management and accomplishing key corporate objectives
  • Usually reports to an Executive Director or member of the Corporate Leadership Team. Duties and responsibilities include supervising and coaching employees, or they may manage very large groups
  • Directs, supervises, and coordinates personnel and facilities to accomplish the functions of the group; sets goals for the group and other business units, and planning the use of materials and resources for efficient accomplishment of group functions
  • Formulates and administers policies and procedures that have company-wide impact and/or significant impact on the companys bottom line
  • Forecasts and submits budget requirements
  • Monitors and reports on financial performance against budget
  • Responsible for intermediate-range planning with a one- to three- year timeline that is designed to develop relatively concrete and specific means to implement the strategic plan

Education and Credentials:

  • BA or BS in a technical field, with MS, PhD, or MBA preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience in a business development role
  • Equivalent combination of fab, lithography, education, and/or related experience
  • Outstanding leadership, customer service, teambuilding and problem-solving skills
  • Superior communication skills including an ability to influence at all levels of the organization

Compensation Base pay for this role is between $120,431 - $156,560 annually. Base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
