Description We are in the market for a meticulous and highly skilled Tax Sr. - Corporate to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry. The role is based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, United States. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the preparation of provisions for federal and state taxes, rate reconciliations, and reserves for uncertain tax positions. This position also includes handling calculations and preparations for quarterly corporate income tax estimated payments and extensions.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the preparation of provisions for federal and state taxes, rate reconciliations, and reserves for uncertain tax positions.

• Assist in the calculation and preparation of quarterly corporate income tax estimated tax payments and extensions.

• Prepare schedules for federal, state, and local income tax filings.

• Handle the preparation of property tax returns, Sales and Use tax returns, annual reports, and other miscellaneous filings as required.

• Provide support during any tax audits.

• Manage fixed asset depreciation calculation for tax purposes.

• Stay informed with respect to tax law developments and their impact on the Company.

• Assist Tax Managers and Director of Tax with special tax projects as needed.

• Assist with accounting/finance responsibilities as needed.

• Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum of three years experience in corporate tax

• Proficiency in preparing corporate tax returns

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Proficiency in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred

• Experience in the construction/contractor industry is a plus

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and changes in tax laws.
