Area Process Manager - Paper

Pay Rate:

$110,770 - $147,700

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

The Paper Area Process Manager will be responsible for planning and directing operations in our Rome, GA linerboard mill. This is to be done in accordance with cost control, quality, and compliance specifications for a 1,400 tons per day production integrated linerboard mill.

· Responsible for safety and wellbeing of workforce

· Assure compliance with all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and laws within the paper department

· Work to ensure machine exceeds goals for availability, acceptance, and speed

· Provides assistance and technical advice necessary to assist in the successful operation of the Paper Machine

· Communicate expectations and results with all salaried and hourly team members

· Conduct all safety, incident, and environmental investigations for area and administer discipline

· Manage the operating and maintenance budget for the Paper Machine

· Responsible for ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with Plant Rules, SOPs and Corporate Policies and Requirements

· Troubleshoot process upsets and recommend procedural and functional improvements

· Work to develop a five year capital and implement all capital projects on the Paper Machine

· Coordinate all outage activities with Operations Maintenance Coordinator and the maintenance team

· Promote a healthy, engaged, and diverse, workplace

The Skills You Will Bring:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field

· Minimum of 4 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Paper Production Operations
