Kellanova Environmental Health and Safety Manager II in Rome, Georgia
As the Environmental Health and Safety Manager II in our Rome, GA, plant, you will work collaboratively with employees to create a strong presence of safety to enable the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses. Activities include implementing occupational safety and health standards, providing meaningful safety and health training that leads to strong knowledge transfer, and working with partners to develop innovative programs to prevent workplace hazards. This is a day shift position with the flexibility to cover after-hours as needed to meet business needs.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
Functional Support – Serving as the technical resource for all relevant, plant people safety and environmental compliance areas as well as the facility security program.
Process Management – Ensuring accurate and timely EHS record keeping, document management and effective case management, as well as preparing, maintaining, and submitting records and reports required by the company and/or regulatory agencies.
Leadership – As part of the management team, your leadership is crucial in maintaining a strong safety culture. You will lead and collaborate on the development, review, and revision of safety and environmental programs, both written and in training. By prioritizing safety and environmental initiatives, you will address key hazards and risks across the site, ensuring actions are taken to mitigate or eliminate them. This includes leading, coordinating, and participating in efforts to improve EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) performance.

You will play a key role in our success by tracking, reporting, and analyzing EHS performance, as well as implementing and managing site security programs and systems. Your creativity and strong problem-solving skills will support leadership while ensuring the achievement of our current commitments.
We’re Looking for Someone With
Bachelor’s degree .
Strong experience and knowledge of safety and environment processes and procedures.
Strong leadership, training, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated organizational, communication, research, and analytical skills.
Experience and/or familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Experience with Microsoft Office and plant-specific software systems.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $130,880.00 - $171,780, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
